FAN

August 10–24, 2022

In its newest exhibition, Metamorphosis, visitors would have the opportunity to discover the works of FAN, an independent artist, adventurer and free electron, both inside and outside. The exhibition will present her intricate mixed media pieces, exploring the anatomical wonders of insects and their delicate composition. Saphira & Ventura Gallery’s iconic midtown gallery will be hosting this exhibition.

“Art is my whole life, an adventure, an escapade and a crusade that stimulates the emotions” says FAN, having a lifetime of experience in different parts of the world, FAN has devoted herself to art, exploration, and establishing bridges between the world of the living and the world of transparencies, uniting the two ideas in a symbiotic relationship. Her experience in Central America led her to new insights, speaking to the local people, FAN adapted to new traditions. A dedicated environmentalist, her works feature prominent themes of life, birth, and a variety of elements found in a heavy anthropogenic theme. Curator, Alcinda Saphira, choosing a unique selection of works by FAN for this special exhibition, focuses on the artist’s efforts as a humanitarian building bridges and as an aesthetic creator, showing representations of nature and beauty in her work.
