The American Legion Department of New Jersey wanted to be able to better obtain donors that would otherwise be restricted based on IRS or corporate policies.
This led to the formation of The New Jersey Veterans Assistance Association as a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Through the NJVAA we are able to better raise funds to serve our communities more impactfully.
